THIS FRIDAY IS STUDENT COUNCIL "SPORTS APPAREL" DAY! SUPPORT YOUR FAVORITE TEAM OR SPORT!!
Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed our annual Fall Into Reading Night at Howard Elementary. After a delicious spaghetti dinner, families enjoyed a night of watching a staff skit, learning about reading strategies to support their students, and a puppet show from our local Weyer’s-Hilliard librarian Sue, including the opportunity to sign-up for a library card. Many other fun literacy activities were also offered as a choice, such as, creating bookmarks, accessing books digitally via QR codes, enjoying online read-alouds by Tumblebooks in our library, and for all students who attended, selecting a new book to take home. A very special THANK YOU to our HPSA team for sponsoring the wonderful spaghetti dinner!!!
Thank You to the Wisconsin Environmental Education Board for the $2500 Grant!
The Nature Trail at Howard Elementary is an interactive nature trail to benefit the students of our community. Our Howard School Forest has a Little Library at the trailhead, along with a bench, for students and families to enjoy outdoor reading together, and trailhead sign. Our students have been taking advantage of the outdoor reading opportunity from the Little Library regularly during recess time. Please read entire article here: The Literacy Trail Narrative
