Student Placement Considerations
Parents requesting special consideration for placing a student for the 2018-2019 school year are asked to answer the questions here. The principal, counselor, and teachers will then determine placement for the student. Please complete and return the form by April 13th.

FACILITIES USE CALENDAR
Have you used or are you interested in using the school facility for a meeting, practice, or other community event? If so, the Howard-Suamico School District uses a web-based Use of Facilities Calendar. The calendar link is found at http://fs-hssd.rschooltoday.com/calendar/index/publicview/
Events at various district facilities can be located by using the calendar. If you are looking to request the use of one of the district’s facilities, it’s easy! Just click on the Request Facilities button from the calendar page and sign up. It’s that simple. If you have questions, contact the school office at 662-9700. Requests for facility usage are subject to approval based on administrative policy 7510.

Box Tops classroom challenge
All Box Tops for the fourth quarter Box Tops classroom challenge are due on April 13th, 2018. Please have your Box Tops collection sheet or bag of Box Tops labeled with your student’s name, grade and teacher’s name.
Congratulations to Ms. Soukup and her class for collecting the most (575) Box Tops for the third quarter Box Tops classroom challenge! Each student in her class received a treat bag from HPSA, Ms. Soukup received items from her classroom wish list from HPSA and the Howard Husky stuffed animal will stay in her classroom until the next Box Tops classroom challenge winner is rewarded.

April 28 - 7th Annual 2Myles4Autism Run/Walk, The 7th Annual 2myles4autism Run/Walk is Saturday, April 28 at Meadowbrook Elementary 9 a.m. This event is named after, Myles, a 9th grader at Bay Port with autism. The event was created to help raise awareness for autism and the message has morphed over the years to be about acceptance. Go to: http://2myles4autism.weebly.com to learn more and to register!
EVERY STEP COUNTS!! Campus Clean-up and Step Challenge will be taking place Saturday, April 1st 9am-Noon. In honor of Earth Day help make our campus clean while hitting your daily steps! Meet at the Bay Port Student Union for bagels, coffee and juice. FREE pedometer and t-shirt for all participants. Families are encouraged to attend! 2018 BAY PORT YOUTH TRACK CLUB OPEN TO BOYS & GIRLS IN GRADES 3 - 4 - 5 - 6
The program includes a T-shirt, free entry into Bay Port track meets, an introduction to and instruction in track and field events, and a ribbon for every child during our club meets. Saturday, April 21 - (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.) The Bay Port Drama Club invites children grades Kindergarten- 6th Grade to register for our biannual Theater Workshop featuring the “Lion King” themed day of fun-filled learning opportunities for students who are excited about theater.
If it’s April, it’s gotta be National Donate Life month! Why not celebrate by joining the 6th annual NEW Donate Life Walk sponsored by the Bay View Student Council and local supporters? Our walk is scheduled for Saturday, April 14th starting at 9AM. There will be a Silent Auction, a Gift of Life Garden Walk, vendors from Wisconsin Donate Life, Be the Match and more! Even if you can’t join us for the actual walk, please consider donating a Silent Auction item or a donation of any kind. This year's auction features food from 13 local vendors including 1951, Anduzzi's, A&W, Bottle Room, Breadsmith, Festival Foods, Gilligan’s Bar and Grill, Legends, The Marq, The Oilerie, Sam and Louie’s, Townline and Zesty's. All monies benefit The Giving Tree and the health and welfare of our Howard-Suamico children in need. Make a difference and join us on April 19, 2018 at the Rock Garden for this amazing event!
