Student Council "Dress Like Your Teacher" Day this Friday!!
The Student Council of Howard Elementary School is sponsoring its 14th annual VIP (Very Important Person) Day next Friday, March 18th.
Grades K & 1 from 9:30 – 10:00; Grades 2 – 4 from 10:30 – 11:00 See attached for full details and to reserve your spot!!! Forms are due tomorrow!! Congratulations go out to Amelia Nicolas (second from left)! She placed 3rd in the third grade division of the Delta Kappa Gamma writing contest for the greater Green Bay area. She entered a personal narrative called “Stolen!” Students that placed in the competition took part in an awards ceremony on February 18th at Preble High School in Green Bay. Howard Suamico did well in the competition with 6 winners in various divisions in grades 3-6. Way to go Amelia and to all of the students that participated in the contest and to the Gifted and Talented educational team that provides enrichment opportunities for our students! Thanks for representing our district so well!

2016 DISTRICT VISUAL ART SHOW, TONIGHT @ BAY PORT HIGH SCHOOL COMMONS, 6:00PM-7:00PM
The second annual District Visual Art Show will take place in the Bay Port High School Commons exhibiting samples of art work and creative collaborations from K-12 students of the Howard-Suamico School District. There will be a hands-on mural for students and parents to add their creative ideas to. Music will be provided by the Bay Port Symphonic Ensemble and Meadowbrook Choir along with refreshments while viewing some of our finest student’s creative achievements. There will also be an “Empty Bowls” table with ceramic bowls for sale by high school ceramic art students with proceeds going to the Giving Tree. All students of the HSSD and accompanying family are invited to attend in celebration of our amazing arts program. The night’s event is sponsored by the HSSD Art Educators of Daniel Zwicker, Tricia Johnson, Jessica Van Epps, Lynn Grzywa, Jody Vandenlangenberg, Jennifer Perry, Patrick Christie, Todd Richardson, Dan Klewer, and the art students of the HSSD.
