School Store On Friday Also!! ATTENTION 4TH GRADE PARENTS!!
On Wednesday, March 8th, students in 4th grade will visit Lineville Intermediate School for a Music Class Demonstration. Your child will need to choose a music class for 5th grade. Musicians in Band, Chorus, and Orchestra will perform for the 4th graders and discuss the music class options. After March 8th you will be able to register your class choice using an internet link which will be emailed to you. Music class registrations will be due by March 18th. HOWARD HUSKY MARCH EVENT CALENDAR NOTE: The Howard Elementary Interest Fair is being replaced by a new and exciting "All Student Event" in May. Watch for further details!! Our next HPSA board meeting is on Tuesday, March 7th at 6:30 in the library!!
Barnes and Noble Night - Save the Date - March 16th Our HPSA has agreed to support our Barnes and Noble Book Fair Night again this year! Hooray for this group of parents who values our students and Literacy! We are planning to host this event at Barnes and Noble on Thursday, March 16th from 4:30-6:30. It seemed positive to hold this event right before spring break...that way all your spring break reading materials for the beach or your backyard can be purchased, AND benefit our school! Win...win! Spring is coming and so is Our Spring Dance and Raffle on Thursday, April 6th, 2017.
This year we are having a Pajama Jam!! We can't wait to raffle off these great prizes our community partners have been sending in! Email [email protected] with any questions you may have. Thank you for the continued support you provide by turning in the "Labels for Education" UPC's typically found on Campbells, Pepperidge Farm, V8, Swanson, Spaghettios, and Pace products. Collecting these labels help our school to purchase new educational supplies and equipment. Although this program will be ending this year, we will continue to collect "Labels for Education" UPC's through April 30, 2017. This will give our staff time to make purchase using all accumulated points. Thank you for your support in helping earn educational merchandise for Howard Elementary. |

****Families that live outside of the district attendance area and want their child to attend Howard-Suamico Schools can apply for Open Enrollment. Open Enrollment applications are available from February 6 – April 28, 2017. For application and additional information, visit the Howard-Suamico Open Enrollment webpage at http://www.hssd.k12.wi.us/open-enrollment or contact the Registration Office at [email protected] or call 920-662-8860.
New Year-Round Update Process for Parents to Update Family Information Online
- Parent/Guardian will log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
- Once in the portal, choose the appropriate student (changes will need to be done for each child listed in the account).
- Select InfoSnap Year Round Update on the left side under navigation. (This will take a couple seconds to populate the information that is currently in PowerSchool.)
- Once the student information is populated, the parent/guardian is free to change the appropriate information such as primary mailing name, contact #, address, mother/father/guardian information, and emergency contact information.

NEW Donate Life Walk - Saturday, April 8, Registration at 8 a.m., walk starts 9a.m. at Bay View Middle School. Registration is now open on our website: http://newdonatelifewalk.weebly.com. If you can’t walk that day, we are also accepting Silent Auction donations and/or monetary donations to raise money for the Donate Life Wisconsin organization. Howard-Suamico Community Pool
Swim Lessons - The Howard-Suamico Community Pool will be offering the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program this Spring 2017. All swim lessons are taught by qualified staff certified in the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instruction, CPR for the Professional Rescuers and First Aid. Lessons are offered for Levels Pre-1 to 4. Adult Lessons will be offered upon request. The pool is located in the Lineville Intermediate School.
There is a discrepancy with one of the At-A-Glance calendar dates in the November District Newsletter that was mailed to families. The newsletter says we have parent/teacher conferences on Friday, Feb. 17 in the morning; however, there is No School or Parent/Teacher conferences!
Pirate Fastpitch Tournament Team Information Pirate Fastpitch Tournament Team Information is a non-profit organization providing youth athletes the opportunity to participate in competitive tournament team softball. The program is in addition to the summer HSYSA league. Please visit our website, https://sites.google.com/site/piratefastpitch2014/home for more information regarding registration and our program.
