Oct. 24: Wear orange to show unity and kindness (District initiative) Nov. 1 – 8: Giving Tree Food Drive – Sweet Incentive if we reach 300 items for being “sweet” for donating Friday Nov. 9: Wear red, white, and blue to honor our veterans on Sunday the 11th. We will be having the 11:00 announcement on the 9th this year. Wednesday, Nov. 21: Wear camouflage for our Turkey Trot Friday, Nov. 30th: Stuffed Animal Day (please nothing bigger than what can fit in your backpack) Howard’s Fall Fest is Wednesday, November 21st from 9:00-11:30
Classrooms will be celebrating by participating in the annual “Turkey Trot”, which is a mile course on the nature trail and school grounds. We will then share in a community “trail mix” snack. We would greatly appreciate donations of one ingredient for snack mix (only pretzels, animal crackers, Goldfish/Whale crackers or plain M&M’s please) to add to our community “trail mix”. Thank you for your generosity as we celebrate and teach our students about this season of fall and sharing in a healthy and fun activity. |
IMPORTANT MORNING DROP-OFF INFORMATION:
This is just a friendly reminder that you may drop your child off at 8:20 a.m. for breakfast. If they are not having breakfast they can be dropped off at 8:30 a.m. If you arrive earlier, we ask that you stay with your child until they enter the building. Safety is our first priority and there is not supervision prior to 8:20 a.m.. Thank you! Parent/Teacher Conferences:

If you have not yet returned the form to school please send it back tomorrow as conference scheduling will take place this week. Join participants across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Ohio on Thursday, October 11, 2018, for the fifth annual Great Lakes Great Apple Crunch. Students participating in school lunch will receive local apples from Theys Orchards, Luxemburg, WI and all students in the cafeteria will receive free crunch stickers. Local apples will also be supplemented into lunch program as seasonally available this fall.
October 31 School Nutrition will be treating all hot lunch students to pumpkin shaped chicken nuggets and a mini pumpkin eraser giveaway. Breakfast is served with made from scratch whole grain rich pumpkin chocolate chip breakfast bars Wednesday, October 10 & 24.

District residents approved the Board of Education’s proposed tax levy in support of an operating budget of $86M – and the purchase of the 10-acre parcel of land in the Village of Suamico.
